+ VFX Artist

We are looking for a talented artist within the field of visual effects to join our Team. You will be responsible for creating visuals that ensures a feast for the eyes on our current project.

As a VFX artist at Hardwired, you will find out what types of effects are needed and you will be responsible for exploring the best ways of implementing the effects. Depending on the type of effect, you will need to adapt your approach to creating and planning your work.

You will:

  • Planning the pipeline for different particle effects
  • Creating textures, materials and particle effects
  • Deliver effects to the requested level
  • Iterate on effects depending on feedback

Requirements:

  • Experience working with 2D textures, preferably using photoshop
  • Experience working with particle editors
  • Ability to create materials using a node based system
  • Experience creating VFX for game projects
  • Basic understanding of 3D modelling
  • Strong sense of movement, impact and form within visual effects
  • experience with Unreal Engine

+ Environment Artist

As an Environment Artist you will create high-quality assets. You are expected to take your assets all the way from conceptual mockups, to modeling and texturing, to final placement in the environment. We are interested in someone with a strong sense of achieving our high quality game vision and the experience to guide their team there.

You will:

  • Become a full member of our art team
  • Design and create environment assets for Unreal Engine
  • Design and create location areas and complete levels
  • Work closely with members of different departments (art, animation, level design and tech)

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in 3D environment modeling
  • Have excellent reference material regarding 3D modeling and texturing for games
  • Strong skills in organic modeling and texturing, with an understanding of technical constraints and pipeline, and how it affects asset creation
  • Proficiency with 3d package (Blender, 3dsmax or Maya), PBR workflow
  • Strong understanding of form, environment composition, silhouette, detail distribution, and lighting.
  • Understanding of shaders

+ Hard Surface Artist

As an Hard Surface Artist you will create hi-tech weapons, robotics and machinery. You are expected to take your assets all the way from conceptual mockups, to modeling and texturing, to final asset in the game. We are interested in someone with a strong sense of achieving our high quality game vision and the experience to guide their team there.

You will:

  • Become a full member of our art team
  • Design and create weapons, vehicles and robotics for characters and environments
  • Work closely with members of different departments (art, characters, animation, level design and tech)

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in hard surface modeling and texturing, with an understanding of technical constraints and pipeline, and how it affects asset creation

+ Gameplay Programmer (C++)

The Gameplay (multiplayer) Programmer is responsible for designing and implementing large scale, gameplay systems and mechanics,combat and more.

You will

  • Develop and implement new gameplay code (mostly multiplayer), including features such as mechaincs, logic, combat system, UI, audio code etc
  • Maintain and debug your own and existing code
  • Identify and solve development obstacles or risks that arise
  • Work with Unreal Engine & Visual Studio

Requirements

  • Good C/C++ skills
  • Ability to familiarise yourself to work with a large existing UE codebase
  • Good debugging and 3D math skills
  • Self-motivation, organisational and problem solving skills
  • The ability to take feedback and effectively adapt and improve your work

+ Systems Designer

As a Game Systems Designer you will play a key role in the game design and development process, translating high level game concepts into complex models numbers, difficulty and economy. You should have a strong working knowledge of game systems and how they relate to the core game experience and to each other. Deep understanding of a game’s “meta” features is needed as well as an ability to balance and tune each system.

You will:

  • Own multiple features and gameplay elements of the game
  • Create designs and then see them through production and live operations to highest quality
  • Collaborate with the other designers, artists and programmers in the team on the features you are responsible for working on the features that you are responsible for
  • Design and balance fun and engaging gameplay experiences
  • Model complex game economies based on high-level game concepts
  • Design and map out quest structures, awards and game flow
  • Use a strong quantitative background to balance multiple variables in new feature design
  • Review game metrics and data, adjust economy models to tune the underlying numbers in order to optimize the experience for game players and to shape new feature designs with the cooperation of the game's product manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience of core systems design and seeing designs through execution and ongoing support. You will have extensive experience balancing large sets of numbers, for unit balance, progression systems
  • Excellent design documentation skills
  • Experience working as a game designer on mid/large scale games
  • The ability to take feedback and effectively adapt and improve your work
  • Experience developing Free to Play game design systems and designing and balancing game systems
  • You must have played multiple ARPGs
  • Knowledge of ARPGs systems
  • Unreal experience

+ Narrative/World Designer

Narrative/World designers play a pivotal role in video game design and are responsible for planning and creating the environments for a game, including such details as political, economical structures. Colonization of solar system, corporations and power balance in cyberpunk world.

You will:

  • create world political, economical and power structures
  • work on map of solar system colonization
  • Collaborate with the other designers, artists and programmers in the team on the features you are responsible for working on the features that you are responsible for
  • work on the main story line and side quests.
  • work on the cutscenes and dialogs.
  • work on the unique items background and lore.

Requirements:

  • Experience of writing for the games.
  • Excellent design documentation skills
  • Experience working as a game designer on mid/large scale games
  • The ability to take feedback and effectively adapt and improve your work
  • You must have played multiple ARPGs
  • Knowledge of ARPGs systems
